As unfortunate as it may be, regulations must be placed upon natural resources so that they remain available for years to come. We often don’t think about it, but there are laws established to protect wildlife, water, land, air quality
and other natural resources that we utilize daily. If you have been sued for abuse of the environment or resources, contact David Hornbeck, Attorney At Law

Resources With Legal Restrictions
Mining
Although considered an outdated method, mining still provides a significant amount of revenue for Nevada. The state defines permissible areas to mine and will take swift legal action to reprimand any offenders. Mining projects can take years to complete and state laws can change over time, affecting the legality of the project.
Land
Nevada zoning laws require corporations and residents adhere to the specific locations where construction may begin. Restrictions on materials used and the duration of time spent for construction may apply.
Fish & Wildlife
Across the state of Nevada, multiple restrictions apply such as acceptable fishing locations, size limits, possession limits, daily limits, bait requirements, hook requirements, and more. Similar to fishing regulations, hunting wildlife requires that specific animals are hunted during certain seasons along with how many captures you’re allowed to leave the grounds with.
Water
Possibly the most complicated resource, water law infractions can result from pollutants, waste dumping, or improper use of riparian rights (access to docks, piers, etc).
Plants
Different trees, shrubbery, and plants are not allowed to be planted or removed in specific locations. This helps to avoid scarcity of certain greenery and to contain wildlife presence.
Air
Although a free commodity in life, erecting a windmill or other technology on your property to regulate energy can result in legal repercussions.
